HYDRO TEC SIGNS THE DESIGN AND ENGINEERING OF ANTONINI NAVI’S FIRST YACHT: LAUNCH OF MATILDE 7
Hydro Tec strengthens its role as a strategic partner in the development of emerging shipyards, thanks to an integrated approach that combines exterior design, engineering, and naval architecture.
The recent launch of Matilde 7, the first Antonini yacht in the Seamore series a 34-meter full-custom vessel built at the La Spezia shipyard further confirms Hydro Tec’s ability to support growing shipyards in defining solid, coherent, and competitive technical and stylistic platforms. With over 30 years of experience and more than 200 yachts in operation, Hydro Tec contributed to Matilde 7’s exterior design, engineering, and naval architecture, helping create a yacht that blends aesthetic identity, construction efficiency, and onboard functionality.

The vessel, built in steel and aluminum, measures 33.5 meters in length, has a tonnage under 300 tons, and is powered by two CAT C18 engines of 533 kW each. The design is distinguished by a high, commanding bow, a superstructure with balanced volumes, and spatial architecture conceived to ensure continuity between interior and exterior spaces. The main deck offers over 150 m² of living space, while the upper deck adds approximately 160 m² of outdoor areas, including 50 m² shaded by a hardtop.
In the coming months, the second Antonini yacht, EVO 31, is scheduled for delivery. This vessel is also designed by Hydro Tec for exterior design, naval architecture, and engineering. The project introduces a modern technical platform, characterized by optimized volumes, construction efficiency, and a layout designed to maximize livability and flexibility onboard.

“The strength of a design studio is measured by its ability to accompany shipyards through all phases of their growth, offering integrated expertise, technical continuity, and a coherent design vision. Hydro Tec was founded and developed with this goal: to provide experience, methodology, and reliability to transform ideas and ambitions into tangible, competitive products,” states Sergio Cutolo, founder of Hydro Tec.
Hydro Tec is engaged in the development of, among other large vessels, two 80-meter yachts, two 66-meter yachts, and a 47-meter yacht for Palumbo Superyachts, as well as three 50-meter explorers for Cantiere delle Marche, two 43-meter and two 45-meter yachts for the same yard, a 45-meter yacht for Benetti, and a 36-meter yacht for another Italian shipyard.
The studio offers both complete design packages exterior design, naval architecture, and engineering and dedicated engineering services, integrating with external teams and supporting top designers. Hydro Tec currently collaborates with some of the world’s leading design studios, including Espen Øino, Nuvolari Lenard, Paszkowski, and other renowned professionals.
