BENETTI SUCCESSES AT THE 2025 DESIGN AND INNOVATION AWARDS WITH 67M M/Y KASPER 7
M/Y Kasper 7, a 67-meter full custom superyacht by Benetti, won over the judges of the Design and Innovation Awards 2025 and, in the splendid setting of Kitzbühel, Austria, was named winner in the categories of Best Interior Design – Motor Yachts over 500GT and Best Naval Architecture – Displacement Motor Yachts, demonstrating Benetti’s excellence in the design and construction of custom superyachts.
These prestigious awards, organized annually by BOAT International – one of the leading magazines for the yachting sector – recognize the best, not only in terms of naval architecture and superyacht engineering, but above all for style and innovation in design.
The jury awarded M/Y Kasper 7 as Best Naval Architecture – Displacement Motor Yachts because she “seamlessly combined technical precision with aesthetic sophistication. Her numbers highlighted exceptional hydrodynamic efficiency demonstrating refined hydrodynamics”. This same attention to detail extended to the yacht’s interior, which earned recognition in the Best Interior Design – Motor Yachts over 500GT category. One judge noted that “the bold interior reminded them of an art gallery with the most interesting objets d’art on display. The judges also liked how the yacht’s interior designer chose to augment the shape of the windows in the dining room and modify their shapes inside.
“After winning the Wallpaper* Design Awards 2025, this award is another important recognition of the collaboration with Benetti. M/Y Kasper 7 embodies our dream of creating a true home on the water, a result made possible thanks to the excellence of the shipyard’s skills and the close synergy we established with them”, comments Nisrine Karagulla, interior designer and owner of M/Y Kasper 7.
“This double recognition fills us with pride because it underlines our excellence in the design and construction of highly customized yachts. Collaborating with the owner and turning her vision into reality was a great privilege for the entire Benetti team, made possible thanks to the know-how of our work team”, says Camilla Calza, Benetti Marketing Director.
The M/Y Kasper 7 project was born at the request of a couple of owners who wanted to make it their home on the water, consulting with Benetti and Cassetta Yacht Designers studio for the exterior concept, and the original and extraordinary touch of the owner, Nisrine Karagulla, interior designer and owner of Ask Deco, an interior design and architecture firm based in Beirut, Lebanon.
On board this superyacht, guests are immediately captured by a sense of wonder, especially in the Main Deck lounge: the width of the space bulwark to bulwark is over ten meters, with large windows contributing both to the general elegance of the architecture and to making the project even more fluid and bright from natural light. Almost 2 meters in diameter, four circular windows produce a spectacular effect, becoming a signature feature of the yacht’s profile and filling the interiors with light, from the generous main lounge to the cabins on the Lower Deck. Aesthetically original, they please the eye with their feeling of modernity and luminosity and give the yacht’s design a distinctive look. They were strongly desired by the owner, who wanted to establish a connection between the interiors and the natural environment by framing the beauty of the scenery outside.
The interiors of M/Y Kasper 7, designed by the owner, embody a perfect balance between luxury and comfort, inspired by the relaxed atmosphere of a summer house. The minimalist design creates airy and welcoming spaces with attention to detail and fine materials such as oak, cross-cut travertine and white perpero wood to lend elegance and warmth. Throughout the volumes, there is space for furnishings and works of art made to measure for this vessel, helping to create a sophisticated atmosphere while maintaining an informal tone, while the lighting, designed to make the objects seem like a source of light, gives an intimate and sophisticated atmosphere.
The spacious and functional cabins offer smart solutions for organization, such as adjustable shelves and a consistent aesthetic that reflects the elegance of the entire space. The uniform use of teak on the decks, floors and walls recalls the sinuous lines of a sailing boat, emphasizing the link between functionality and maritime style.
The hull of M/Y Kasper 7, carefully designed by Benetti, has been optimized for cruising speed navigation, allowing for improved fuel efficiency. This superyacht reaches a maximum speed of 16 knots and, at the same time, a range that allows for long non-stop navigation.
M/Y Kasper 7 has been awarded the 3-star SEA Index® certification, which assesses a yacht’s CO2 emissions. The SEA Index certification for M/Y Kasper 7 highlights the dedication of its owners, crew, and the Shipyard to environmental stewardship and marine sustainability. The yacht’s 3-star rating is the result of a rigorous CO2 certification process, independently verified by Lloyd’s Register and provided by the Yacht Club de Monaco (Y.C.M.) to shipowners.
