Conrad Shipyard Signs C-130 Sailing Superyacht Project with Frank Neubelt Yacht Designs and German Yacht Couture Project Agency.
Conrad Shipyard is delighted to announce a new build contract with Frank Neubelt Yacht Designs and German Yacht Couture Project Agency to construct and design an ultra-innovative sailing superyacht project in the 40-meter category
Mikolaj Krol, CEO of Conrad Shipyard says: “Our collaboration with Frank Neubelt is based on strong superyacht expertise on all sides, but also on the trust and long-lasting friendship between our companies. I feel truly privileged and motivated to build this demanding, but also game changing project”.
C-130, with 130 feet in length, presents an exterior, interior, and basic naval architecture from the pen of Frank Neubelt. C-130 will be the very first flybridge performance sailing yacht in this size with a specially invented indoor-outdoor saloon, created using a uniquely styled and engineered lightweight “Alustar” / Carbon fiber hull with specially performed Hullines and techniques.
The carbon-produced deckhouse of elegant flush style comes with specially developed full screen saloon-side windows, where the lower deckhouses provide a spacious owner’s area with its own aft-deck terrace entrance, plus three guest cabins followed by a roomy forward-placed crew area of six.
The rigging and mast will present a powerful “Code-0/Gennaker” sail plan with a retractable bow-pole of carbon performing the modern wide-sled hull, which will be powered by a telescopic lifting keel-fin with a bomb providing a draft of 3.8-6.0 meters.
At the owner’s request, helping create the individual look of the yacht with a well performed hull, it will be supported by hybrid-powered retractable 360-degree pitch-propulsion with two high aspect-ratio span-rudders, guaranteeing an engine cruising speed of 12 knots, even with stronger sea conditions. It will be supported by transatlantic range plus – especially uncommon at this size of yacht – storage of two tenders, a five-meter owner’s tender and a smaller one supporting the crew services.
All naval architecture will be completed by Frank Neubelt and German Yacht Couture Project Agency hub affiliate lyacht where the interiors are to be styled by FNYD. The beginning of a construction process is scheduled for Spring 2023 and will take up to 24 months. The entire production process will be done at the Conrad facilities in Gdansk, Poland.
