Horizon RP110 Superyacht to make European Debut
The new Horizon RP110 Superyacht will appear on the Mediterranean show circuit this fall at the 2018 Cannes and Monaco Yacht Shows.
Following an impressive U.S. debut at the recent Fort Lauderdale and Miami boat shows, the latest Horizon RP110 raised pilothouse superyacht is preparing for her appearance on the Mediterranean show circuit next month. As luxurious as she is functional, this 110’ yacht features sleek and graceful exterior styling along with an innovative, high-performance hull form and a spacious and flexible layout.
J.C. Espinosa designed the streamlined superstructure of gracious lines sweeping from the bow over the raised pilothouse to the transom. The double chine, high-performance hull was developed in collaboration with Donald L. Blount & Associates and Horizon’s in-house naval architecture team. This innovative hull design not only provides a shallow draft but also minimizes drag at slower speeds and enhances hydrodynamic stability at high speeds.
At an overall length of 110’ with a 25’ beam, the new RP110 superyacht offers a spacious, functional and flexible 5-stateroom layout. The master stateroom is situated on deck along with the main salon, formal dining area, portside galley and country kitchen, while two mirrored queen-size VIP staterooms and two twin guest staterooms are situated on the lower deck. The crew quarters, comprised of a crew mess, three two-person cabins, an en-suite captain’s cabin and two bunk berth cabins, are situated forward on the lower deck and accessed via a stairwell in the galley.
Elements of the ocean blend into a contemporary design, giving the RP110’s interior a relaxed yet sophisticated, modern beach house feel. From the mix of rich wood, stones and soft leathers to the metallic trim on the window frames and the backlit reverse tray ceiling in the dining area, Horizon’s sophisticated craftsmanship can be found in the smallest detail.
One of the main features of the RP110 model, the raised pilothouse provides the captain with a quiet and comfortable environment for piloting and features a dark leather console equipped with a state-of-the-art Garmin navigation system and large multi-functional display monitors. A built-in seating area is situated to port.
A variety of outdoor areas, from the flybridge to the forward deck and aft main and bridge decks, have been designed for multi-purpose use, from dining to entertaining to lounging. The helm station and bench seating are situated forward on the flybridge for comfortable open-air piloting. A dinette to port and bar to starboard complement the BBQ for entertaining, while a Jacuzzi invites relaxation on the spacious boat deck, which can house a second tender or lounge chairs. The flybridge is easily converted into an enclosed, air-conditioned space with EZ2CY panels.
Most notable for a yacht of this size, the RP110 features a the hydraulic tender garage with a Hi/Lo swim platform that doubles as a beach club and includes a day head, work bench, and storage.
Powered by twin CAT 32A 1900HP engines, the RP110 cruises at 18 knots and achieves 21 knots at half load; she is also equipped with zero speed stabilizers, twin Kohler 55kW generators, bow and stern thrusters, frequency converter, custom navigational system, and more.
Built to the highest standards of design, performance and quality, the Horizon RP110 raised pilothouse motoryacht is a showcase of superyacht design and amenities that is sure to appeal to the European market.
