Porto Montenegro hosts sixth Super wine Festival
Porto Montenegro, the multi-award-winning luxury yacht homeport and marina village in Tivat, hosted the exclusive SuperWine festival in July. This was the sixth edition of one of the most attractive events, catering to wine enthusiasts in Eastern Europe.
The 2018festival was staged at the Porto Montenegro Yacht Club Pool, an exclusive 64-metre infinity pool and lounge bar situated right in the heart of the luxury superyacht marina village, right by the Adriatic sea.
This year’s lineup was as good as ever. Once again, SuperWine attracted the most respected regional and European wineries together in one place. The famous Castel Savina and Krgovic represented Montenegro, with prestigious wineries from other Balkan states, including Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia and Macedonia, as well as many respected Italian brands, namely Bertani (one of the top Amarone producers in the world), and Petra and Mazzei, from Austria and Spain. Guests had a chance to taste all of the wines exhibited, accompanied by delicious tapas and cured meats, while DJ Stefan Popovic set the tone with a socialite playlist.
“The carefully selected wines, coupled with an outstanding social scene, international guests and a series of fascinating side events all serve to justify the SuperWine reputation as the best wine spectacle in this part of Europe”, said Tony Browne, Marina Director at Porto Montenegro.
SUMMER CONTINUES
It is no secret that Porto Montenegro’s 2018 summer is a truly special one, amplifying the status of this new European luxury hotspot in upward fashion, and even more events are planned for the second half of the season.
Porto Montenegro will stage the first ever the International Fashion Festival on July 26-28. The event will take place in the iconic Synchro building, a newly-renovated waterfront setting suspended over the entire village. It will feature the runway shows of renowned international designers; New York-based LaQuan Smith, whose distinct garments have spurred interest among Beyoncé and Lady Gaga, House of Hend from Dubai and haute couture master Antonio Grimaldi, are among the famous names joining the festival.
Renato Balestra, whose high-end fashion pieces have been endorsed by celebrities, first ladies and royalty for the last few decades, will host his Exhibition entitled, “Fashion Is Culture”, in Porto Montenegro’s Naval Heritage Museum from July 25 to August 8.
With many concerts, theatre productions, gourmet dinners, farmers’ markets and art exhibitions in the pipeline, the village also eagerly anticipates a world-class performance on August 10 by British electronic dance-pop group, Clean Bandit, best known for their hit single “Rockabye”, soon to electrify the village events scene.
