“Ottantacinque” wins the German design award

“Ottantacinque”, the concept of the latest-generation luxury mega yacht developed in partnership between Fincantieri Yachts and Pininfarina,introduced last year at the Monaco Yacht Show, won the prestigious annual award of the German Design Council in the category “Transportation”.

“Ottantacinque” is a turnkey project, ready to be built, not just a simple concept, a merge of simplicity and functionality, innovation and style, elements which mark the assets of both companies and which are the pillars of the idea of Technology of Beauty.It is, in fact, the development of an Italian mega yacht, technologically advanced, with essential lines, comfortable and of absolute beauty: a meeting of excellences, able expressing creativity, luxury and Italian manufacture to the utmost.

A cutting-edge unit, 85 meters long, 2,460 gross tons, with 5 decks, each of which featuring technological solutions and exclusive interior fittings. A 50 meters long private owner deck with outdoor whirlpools on aft and bow, a main deck with a couple of twin pools with adjustable bottom at the stern, an elevated sun bed and an integrated beach and spa club of over 170 square meters in direct contact with the sea with unique and privileged experiences of the sea and the nature.

“Ottantacinque”, after Destriero, renews years later the partnership between the two groups, both acknowledged world-wide as champions of the Italian industry and culture. It embodies Fincantieri’s abilities gained in building complex units, strongly innovative with a high design and technology content.
