Future Mobility Systems invests in Sea Bubbles

Future Mobility Systems Limited (FMS), the Mauritius-based investment company, has today announced it had taken a stake in Sea Bubbles, an eco-friendly transportation solution aimed at making better use of cities’ waterways.

Sea Bubbles is the brainchild of Alain Thé bault, designer of the game-changing hydrofoil trimaran “Hydroptere” and Anders Bringdal, windsurf world speed record holder. The battery driven vehicles are currently in development and will allow rapid and safe waterborne transport to passengers in cities around the world. The vehicles can travel at up to 15 knots and glide effortlessly through the water without emissions.

FMS is wholly-owned by Aven port Investment Corporation (Aven port) and is focused on making investments in mobility and transportation technologies. FMS is also the largest shareholder in both Sea legs, the New Zealand amphibious boat company and Volte is, the electric car company best known for it’s STARCK V+ design.

Mitch Barrett, CEO of FMS declared: “We are delighted to have invested in Sea Bubbles. Not only do we believe that Sea Bubbles has a fantastic management team but also that it has the potential to revolution is the way waterways are used as part of the transport network of big cities. What is more, we think the synergies with Sea legs are huge.”

Anders Bringdal, CEO Sea Bubbles said: “We are very happy to have FMS join us in helping push Sea Bubbles forward. They are very competent in the field and we have direct synergies with the Sea legs Amphibious boat as well. Both companies work globally and we are looking forward to the future together with Mitch and his team.”
