ISA Yachts introduces Yara 44

Yara 44 is ISA Yachts’ newest concept for a 44m motoryacht. The new model has been developed in cooperation between the boat builder, Omega Architects and Van Oossanen Naval Architects.
ISA Yachts management asked Omega Architects to create the lines for a fast yacht adapted to the modern yachting life style. This new generation of sport yacht should have an attractive open main deck rather than a closed in formal main deck.
The goal was to create 50% more usable space in comparison to a traditional layout. More than ever, ISA Yachts asked Omega to focus on the interior – exterior relationship, with full-height windows and opening.
The concept has been developed for two projects, a 44m and 48m yachts. Design-wise, the 44m model is slightly aft leaning, whilst the design for the 48m vessel is slightly forward leaning.
Van Oossanen Naval Architects selected the flexibility of the Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) concept for these two yachts. The design concept considers three engine options with maximum speed up to 30 knots in combination with transatlantic range. The hull is in aluminium with shallow draft in combination with outstanding sea keeping.
The builder says the aft saloon on the Yara 44 can be converted from an exterior space into an interior space, by means of a straightforward sliding and folding glass-door system.
In addition, the S curve, a signature of ISA Yachts, creates a wind-shielded area on the aft wheelhouse deck. The yacht’s design also calls for two cut outs in the bulwarks create enhanced visibility of the water level at side. This creates full-height windows.
Based in Ancona, Italy, ISA Yachts specialises in the design, construction and refitting of custom and semi-custom motoryachts from 40m to 100 m in steel/aluminium and composite.
