ICON YACHTS is ready to build new winning design ICON ER175

Developed by IVAN ERDEVICKI Yacht Design in close collaboration with ICON YACHTS of The Netherlands. the new ICON-ER175 yacht concept has been honored with the International Yacht & Aviation Award 2013. This award, in the category of the ‘Best Concept Design over 40 meters and above’, was received at the Connaught Hotel in London, on April 19, 2013.

The breath-taking Superyacht ICON ER175 design is a 53,4m High Speed Superyacht, which was presented for the first time at the Monaco Yacht Show 2012 at the exhibition stand of ICON YACHTS.

Jen Wartena, director ICON YACHTS says: “Besides the big projects, we also reach out to clients looking for a yacht under 500 GT. For those, looking for something out of the ordinary this concept is the real thing.  An  exceptional hull and superstructure are one harmonious, dynamic, integrated structure with the design directed towards the boat’s efficiency, sea worthiness and overall reliability of the yacht, both for high speed dynamic stability and comfort at sea. We immediately recognized Ivan’s talent for design and looking forward to actually build the yacht”.

The ER175 yacht styling is a futuristic looking vessel with sleek lines, stunning looks, a powerful image with comfortable luxurious interior and ample deck space for leisure and entertaining. The yacht features three full decks plus fly bridge all elegantly incorporated within an aerodynamic superstructure.

The exceptional 53,4-metre hull and superstructure of luxury yacht ER175 concept is one harmonious integrated structure with the design focused towards the boat’s efficiency, sea worthiness and overall reliability. The yacht is under 500 GT, a semi-displacement hull with maximum speed of 31 plus knots and transatlantic range at cruising speed.

The long waterline hull of ER175 yacht concept is designed for fuel efficiency whilst the powerful bullet shaped bow defined by natural sheer lines will carve through the waves and provide reserve buoyancy for a smoother ride.

The designer Ivan Erdevicki said about superyacht ER175 design: “The design was influenced by the market requirement, which is moving toward implementing the newest technology and ‘green solutions, packaged in a minimalistic styling with clean lines but with sculptured shaped surfaces. It was driven by a strong tendency for innovation in the design, external styling, interior ergonomics and performance. In general, clients seem to be more open to new solutions for custom-built yachts and this was our answer.”

Stephan Vitus, Head of development ICON YACHTS says; “Ivan created the totally unique 53m design and arrangement . ICON YACHTS took care of the technical aspects of the arrangement and so the original styling intention was hardly intervened. We are extremely proud of that this unique and exclusive design is now honored with this prestige award.
