Razan – the beginning of new Turquoise Life Style

Turquoise Yachts is pleased to present its latest delivery the lovely new 47-metre motoryacht Razan. “This yacht is an important landmark in the company’s evolution,” says Mehmet Karabeyoglu, CEO of Turquoise. Turquoise in collaboration with H2 Design, created her to be thoroughly unique first class custom yacht. “Although she was a very well designed boat to start with,”says Karabeyoglu, “the owner wanted something different so we didn’t use any of the existing drawings. We designed everything from scratch.”

Razan has a handsome clean sharp profile where the successive cantilevered decks have a visual floating sensation. Juxtaposed with the contemporary interior, the entire yacht feels both modern and timeless. Much effort went into creating multi-functional space for all the amenities and luxury one would ordinarily find on a much larger superyacht. For instance the newly conceived sundeck was designed to accommodate a spa pool and lounge bar. And further changes were made so that there would be a sea level beach club with gym and dive store, plus an extended swim platform. Also, the foredeck was reconfigured to allow for large tenders and a guest seating area.

Offering great outside deck space for entertaining, the interior was created to also be flexible to accommodate the needs and desires of every age group. Guest accommodations for 12 include 2 VIPs, a master suite and three generous staterooms. It is rare to have a fifth guest cabin for this size yacht. Razan was clearly designed to take the extended family along, as every cabin has Pullman bunks.

The yacht packs a lot into a compact package of under 500 GT. A go anywhere vessel, with a mere 2.6m draft, she offers a 4200nm cruising range. “During sea trials she achieved a top speed of 17.5 knots, a good 1.5 knots better than expected, as well as excelling in both sea keeping and stability and noise and vibration tests,” says Karabeyoglu.

Razan marks the beginning of the new Turquoise lifestyle. There are several more yachts currently in build at Turquoise’s Pendik and Kocaeli facilities in Istanbul and a roster of new design concepts fully engineered and ready to be built.

Turquoise plans to have Razan at the fall boat shows in Cannes, Monaco and Flibs.
