WORLD PREMIERE AT THE MONACO YACHT SHOW: THE FIRST ELECTRIC SAILING SUNREEF 100 ECO
Sunreef Yachts has unveiled the first sailing Sunreef 100 Eco at the Monaco Yacht Show. Presented to selected guests and members of the international press, the newly delivered electric sailing catamaran, Ipharra, marks a significant milestone in the shipyard’s approach to sustainable luxury yachting.
Built for a returning Sunreef owner, Ipharra combines the generous living spaces and distinctive architecture of the Sunreef 100 with the shipyard’s latest sustainable technologies. Among her defining features are an expansive owner’s suite on the main deck, extensive outdoor living areas and a versatile beach club designed to bring guests closer to the sea.

Equipped with Sunreef Yachts’ advanced electric propulsion system and proprietary Solar Skin technology, Ipharra introduces a new dimension of silent, efficient and environmentally responsible sailing.
Marine elegance and comfort designed to deliver an exceptional experience at sea, Ipharra combines meticulous craftsmanship with generous volumes, creating interiors defined by serenity, natural light and effortless comfort.
The spacious main salon embodies this philosophy with deep sofas, a ten-person dining table and a dedicated coffee bar. Expansive glazing creates a bright, open atmosphere and establishes a strong connection with the surrounding seascape. Thoughtful features, including a retractable projector screen discreetly integrated into the headlining, complement an interior that retains an authentic yachting character.

Forward on the main deck, the owner’s suite offers exceptional privacy and space. Glass privacy panels separate the sleeping area from the bathroom and shower while allowing natural light to flow throughout the interior. The suite also benefits from direct access to a secluded private foredeck terrace.
Created for both family cruising and educational voyages, Ipharra features five additional guest cabins. A single cabin adjacent to the owner’s suite provides an ideal space for younger family members while four en suite guest cabins located within the hulls can be configured as doubles or twins, offering flexibility for a variety of cruising programs.

An authentic style Sunreef Yachts’ design team worked closely with the owner to create a sophisticated interior characterized by natural materials, balanced tones, and understated elegance.
Oak cabinetry is complemented by dark-stained oak flooring, while light upholstery, soft textiles, and carefully curated finishes establish a warm and inviting atmosphere throughout the yacht.

Natural and indirect lighting further enhance the sense of space, drawing attention to the craftsmanship and detailing while creating a calm and refined ambiance across the interiors.
Life outdoors Ipharra continues a long-standing relationship between her owner and Sunreef Yachts. The owner previously cruised aboard the Sunreef 102 Double Deck bearing the same name and his new yacht builds upon that experience while embracing a new generation of sustainable sailing.

From the sheltered cockpit dining area to the expansive flybridge, the yacht’s exterior spaces have been conceived to maximize outdoor living. Panoramic views, generous relaxation areas, and seamless circulation create an effortless transition between dining, entertainment, and leisure.
The Sunreef 100 Eco also takes the shipyard’s beach club concept to a new level. A powerful hydraulic aft platform can be raised to carry tenders and water toys while additional storage is discreetly integrated beneath the cockpit seating.

On Ipharra, the garage accommodates two sailing dinghies and can also be configured for jet skis. When lowered, the aft platform connects the two hulls just above the waterline and provides access to fold-down side terraces, transforming the stern into an expansive waterside leisure area. Generous storage for water toys is incorporated throughout the beach club and can be accessed directly from the bathing platform.
The Technology Behind Ipharra beyond her exceptional comfort and lifestyle features, the Sunreef 100 Eco is designed as a capable bluewater sailing yacht.

Her towering carbon mast supports a powerful sail plan engineered for efficient performance across a wide range of cruising conditions. In optimal winds of 15–20 knots, Ipharra can comfortably achieve sailing speeds of 8–10 knots.
More than 250 square meters of Sunreef Yachts’ proprietary Solar Skin are seamlessly integrated into the hull, superstructure and other surfaces, generating up to 49 kWp of clean energy to support the yacht’s hotel loads.
When additional propulsion is required, twin electric engines draw energy from a 770 kWh battery bank, providing quiet and efficient operation while supporting extended cruising with reduced environmental impact.

Together, the yacht’s electric propulsion, integrated solar technology, and energy-management systems demonstrate Sunreef Yachts’ continued development of more sustainable solutions for luxury cruising.
At the Service of Education beyond private cruising, Ipharra has been conceived with a distinctive educational purpose.
Her owner has a long-standing association with Le Rosey, and, like the previous Ipharra, the new yacht will welcome students as part of an educational program specifically adapted to learning at sea. The spacious open-plan salon has been designed to support this unique role, providing an environment where exploration and education can come together.

Operating between the Mediterranean and the Caribbean, Ipharra will serve as a platform for studies spanning geography, history, philosophy, marine biology, and ocean conservation.
As the first sailing Sunreef 100 Eco, the yacht will also give students direct exposure to renewable energy technologies and responsible energy management at sea. Her electric propulsion system and integrated solar technology will provide practical insight into energy efficiency and more sustainable approaches to ocean travel.

“We launched the first Ipharra in 2010, and sixteen years later, we have the honor of unveiling her successor the new electric sailing Sunreef 100 Eco Ipharra,” said Francis Lapp, Founder and CEO of Sunreef Yachts. “This project reflects a long-standing relationship built on trust and a shared vision. Designed not only for exceptional sailing but also as a platform for education, Ipharra embodies a mission that goes beyond the traditional role of a yacht. We are proud to have brought this unique vision to life.”
