Cantieri di Pisa has signed the sale of the 42m project Akhir 42S to a Japanese Owner. The Akhir 42S is a semi displacement project byCantieri di Pisa and the first unit entirely designed by the Italian Designer Luca Dini.
This project represents the beginning of the next generation of Cantieri di Pisa yachts.
Akhir’s history reaches its climax between the eighties and the nineties becoming a point of reference when talking of Cantieri di Pisa. When in 2015 the ownership of the shipyard changed, the will was to relaunch the legendary Akhir range by observing the past and taking from it the idea that leads to its modern reinterpretation.
Luca Dini gave to the Akhir line the best interpretation of the DNA of the project without changing it.
The fundamental stylistic features of the old models have been restyled in the new Akhir42S, enhanced in all the key aspects of the construction, layout, habitability and technology in line with the modern times.
With an overall length of 42m, a beam overall of 8. 10m and aluminum hull and superstructure, the Akhir42S will reach a maximum speed of 19 knots.
THE DESIGN
The smoked glass bands windows are a key element of the vessel, characterizing the external lines. This solution is also used for the portholes.
The shark nose bow has been maintained as well as the airplane-like rollbarthathas been moved towards the bowof the yacht in order to create, more easily, shaded areas on the Sun Deck.
For the first time the Akhir features a Sky Lounge, where formerly there was just an open deck in the sun.
That’s the key difference with the past: this new Akhir, while maintaining the proportion between the hull and the superstructure, has now an up to date layout.
Furthermore the boat is embellished with many stylistic details also inspired to both aircraft and car design.
INTERIOR LAYOUT
The owner’s cabin is set in the below of the main deck and its full beam with main gallery placed in the heart if the lower deck. Moreover, the sky lounge completely revises the uppderdeck area, giving an extra privacy to the owner’s environment with an all-length salon, At the same level, we can find the Captain’s Cabin with a direct access to the wheelhouse, and also another day toilet.
BEACH CLUB
A large Beach Area has been created in the aft part of the Yacht with a transom door which rotates creating an amazing balcony on the sea.
The Delivery of the Akhir 42S is due by spring 2018.
