THIRD UNIT OF THE MANGUSTA GRANSPORT 45 JUST SOLD

Overmarine Group is proud to announce the sale of the third 45-metre unit in the Mangusta GranSport series, known as “Project Sorrento”, which will soon be joining the already large Mangusta fleet based overseas. The 45-metre is the intermediate model in the Mangusta GranSport range, which also includes 33 and 54-metre vessels.

“This sale was concluded with the Owner of another Mangusta yacht, who, being familiar with and appreciating the quality of our products, chose us once again to build his new vessel. On all Mangusta models, the shipyard offers clients the best available technological platform, allowing them to fully customise both interior and exterior spaces” says the Group’s CEO Maurizio Balducci. “We can’t wait to start working side by side with the Owner to design and build his yacht to his own taste and requirements”.

The Mangusta GranSport 45, already the winner of important international awards, is entirely built in aluminium and features a fast displacement hull and a propulsion system consisting of three 2600 Hp MTU engines with two shaft-line propellers and a central waterjet, allowing for long-range cruising – including transoceanic crossings – at a speed of 10/12 knots as well as to move at much higher speeds, up to 26 knots. Onboard this vessel, guests will enjoy the same comfort they would normally find on a displacement yacht. Maximum efficiency in terms of consumption is ensured by the lightweight aluminium structure, the central waterjet propulsion system, and the cutting-edge technological solutions installed on board, including the joystick and the dynamic positioning system.

The Mangusta Gransport 45 exterior lines have been pencilled by Alberto Mancini, the designer of the Group’s new metal yacht lines, while the hull has been optimised by engineer Ausonio, in cooperation with the Shipyard’s technical department. Alberto Mancini skilfully created the yacht’s exterior profile, making it an epitome of timeless and yet contemporary design, harmoniously combined with an explosive Italian style.

As is the case on all Mangusta yachts, the exteriors and interiors are well balanced and smoothly connected, to maximise the concept of lifestyle meant at an unforgettable onboard life experience. The salon is flooded by the natural light shining through ceiling-high glass surfaces and three wide sliding doors – the traditional aft one plus two on the sides. The main deck master suite is also extremely bright and fitted with a fullyautomated foldable terrace that can be easily operated by the Owner. The core element on the upper deck is the salon, which can be configured, at the Owner’s discretion, as a sky lounge, a cinema room or a dining room, always creating a harmonious continuum with the open sun deck. At the bow, on the same level as the upper deck salon, is a lounge area opening onto 2 large sunbathing areas arranged on the sides of a Jacuzzi infinity pool with a waterfall. Another exclusive, distinctive element onboard this yacht is the aft beach area. By moving the garage forward the yacht has an extra-roomy beach club that can also be opened on both sides thanks to two side doors that convert into two magnificent terraces on the sea, connected by the aft platform, resulting in a 69 square-metre area at direct contact with the sea. To welcome guests at best, the lower deck will host 4 large guest cabins.

Delivery of this unit is scheduled for summer 2022.
