As Monte Carlo Yachts prepares to celebrate its first decade of operations, the MCY

96, latest addition to the collection, has been recognised with its third prestigious acknowledgement for its product design and development. Following the 2017 “Most Achieved Award” at the Cannes Yachting Festival and the 2018 Christofle Style Award in Phuket last January, the MCY 96 has been assigned the “Best Flybridge Yacht” (Above 80 ft) at the 2018 Asia Boating Awards that took place during the Singapore Yacht Show.

“Only a few months after its unveiling, the MCY 96 continues to make us very proud” says Carla Demaria, President of Monte Carlo Yachts. “The yacht has been very well received from the Americas to Asia, and we’re extremely pleased of this recognition from the prestigious Asia Boating Awards, especially considering the very tough competition in the best flybridge category this year.”

Created in 2005 and organised by Asia-Pacific Boating and China Boating magazines, the Asia Boating Awards are the most renowned yachting awards in Asia and across the world. Presented during a lavish ceremony on Wednesday 11, ahead of the Singapore Yacht Show at ONE°15 Marina Club on Sentosa Island, the 2018 edition saw over 200 finalists competing for awards in 26 categories.

“Monte Carlo Yachts always produces outstanding yachts and the new MCY 96, launched in spectacular style in Venice, is a proud addition to their collection.” Says John Higginson, Asia-Pacific Boating Editor-in-Chief. “The Best Flybridge Yacht above 80 ft was a particularly competitive category in this year’s Asia Boating Awards, with many potential winners. On behalf of our panel of judges, we congratulate MCY on winning the award and were delighted to see Carla Demaria, FabrizioIarrera and Federico Peruccio in Singapore to lift the trophy.”
