Countdown to the 6th MEDYS 2019

The historic port of Naplion will welcome hundreds of visitors from the Greek and international yachting community, who will have the opportunity to inspect the spectacular line up of luxury crewed yachts available for charter. This year’s show has been extended to a 5-day event, meaning that there will be even more time for brokers to acquaint themselves with the superior level of services on offer.

As well as meeting the highly trained captains and crews and discovering more about the exceptional amenities on board, Greece and its islands will be in the spotlight as attendees become more familiar with the many attractions of yachting in the region. In addition, MEDYS is the perfect springboard from which to promote products, services and expertise and an excellent chance to socialise with industry peers.

Now in its 6th year, the event is organised by the Greek Yachting Association and the Municipality of Nafplion, whose invaluable help and support throughout the years greatly contributes to  the success of the show. MEDYS is held under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Tourism and has the support of the Regional Council of the Peloponnese.

Mr Michael Skoulikidis, President of GYA, will be announcing the official opening at a special ceremony on Saturday, 4th May at 7 pm in the picturesque port, accompanied by important dignitaries. Following that, a welcoming reception will take place at the Palamidi Fortress during which invitees can enjoy a magical evening of music, food and drinks in a truly unique venue. The impressive collection of luxury yachts taking part in MEDYS will be available for viewing throughout the show, with many of them organising lively parties for their guests.

The Chefs’ Competition will once again offer the yachts’ creative chefs the chance to demonstrate their culinary skills and impress the esteemed judging panel as they compete to take first place in this very popular contest.

The Mediterranean Yacht Show will come to an exciting close on Wednesday, 8th May with the Chefs’ Competition Αwards Ceremony and a fun-filled crew party. All in all, attendees are bound to leave Nafplion with the most wonderful memories and a long list of reasons to propose chartering one of the superb luxury yachts in Greece this summer.
