Boeing business jets showcase at the Monaco yacht show

Boeing Business Jets returns to the Monaco Yacht Show to display a new large-scale cutaway model of its newest aircraft, the BBJ MAX 7, in Boutsen Design’s House of Excellence.

“The BBJ MAX 7 is the airplane we have always wanted to build, with 884 ft2 of cabin space and a maximum range of 7,000 nm it is really an unbeatable business jet,” said Greg Laxton, president, Boeing Business Jets.

In order to showcase the design possibilities inside the BBJ MAX 7’s spacious interior Boeing Business Jets held an international design competition, the winner of which was renowned design house Alberto Pinto. “It should not come as a surprise that we selected Alberto Pinto”Laxton said. “Not only do they design for VIP aircraft, but Alberto Pinto also has extensive experience in the yacht world. Their timeless style really appeals to our worldwide customer base.”

The BBJ MAX 7 model will be displayed in conjunction with Boutsen Design, a Monaco cabin outfitting specialist that also has a foot in both the Yachting and Aviation worlds. “Boutsen Design adds the finishing touches that turn a beautiful yacht or BBJ into a home” said DanielaBoutsen, founder of Boutsen Design. Boeing Business Jets and Boutsen Design have worked on a number of projects together, including the recently completed BBJ Demonstrator aircraft.

“Boeing Business Jets is excited to be in Monaco and partnering with two companies that have such deep ties to both business aviation and yachting” said Laxton. “Our customers want tobring the comforts of home with them whether it’s on the water or in the air so events like this are a great opportunity to share the benefits of the BBJ MAX.”

At 10 feet long with 275 light sources and 5 working TV screens the BBJ MAX 7 cutaway is the most detailed VIP airplane model ever built. The 1:12 scale BBJ MAX 7 will be on display in the Monaco Yacht Club at Boutsen Design’s House of Excellence exhibition from September 27th through the 30th.
