The all-new Van den Hoven 1850

The 1850 was specifically developed for people with the highest demands for the quality, comfort, performance and space.

Design

Elegance, quality and space are the key words to describe the timeless design. This brand-new yacht was designed by yacht designer Arnold de Ruyter in partnership with John van Leuwen. The Dutch build quality provides the Executive 1850 with a complete sense of safety and stability, making the motoryacht ideal for longer trips in Europe or tours of the British Isles. The yacht’s owners chose a light-blue colour for the exterior which emphasises the lines, and makes the 1850 an eye-catching and modern sight on the water.

Space on board

The interior of the yacht was developed to create an optimal mix of space, light, comfort and appearance; aspects which Van den Hoven believe are essential in determining a yacht’s success.

The natural flow throughout the yacht quickly made the new owners feel at home. As the aft deck, saloon, galley and steering position are on the same level it is easy for the on board party to maintain contact with each other. The newly designed windows provide a wide 360-degree view over the surroundings, and are handsomely integrated into the hull. The windows in the saloon can be darkened automatically, while the electrically operated sliding roof ensures fresh air and (even more) sunlight inside. The stunning stainless steel sliding doors can be opened over the full width of the saloon to create a seamless flow between inside and out. All this and more underlines the sense of luxury and quality Van den Hoven offers its clients.

Comfort

Comfort is found everywhere on the new 1850, including the superbly organised and spacious engine room. To minimise noise, the entire area has been insulated with top-quality engine room material and finished with white perforated aluminium panels.Vibration is eliminated as much as possible via the heavy hull and the transmission from the engines to the axles, which also includes a homokinetic coupling. Inside there is plenty of space with six beds in three comfortable cabins, plus two heads and two bathrooms. The master cabin has its own walk-in closet and walk-in shower to strengthen the superyacht feel.

The well-organised galley is fully equipped, including a luxury wine cooler halfway down the steps to the lower deck. The wide gangways ensure easy manoeuvring on board which is ideal for (un)mooring, while the swimming platform–which also gives access to the engine room–can be reached via two symmetrical staircases. The quality level of this first Executive 1850 is further enhanced by the materials and level of finish on board.

Performance

Sailing the Van den Hoven 1850 is a joy. The steering position with all-round views has been integrated into the saloon and equipped with the latest navigation equipment. Two 300 hp Volvo Penta diesel engines, combined with a bow and sternthruster, provide smooth propulsion and excellent manoeuvrability to ensure optimal comfort for longer sailing trips.

With a length of 18.70 m, a clearance of 4.30 m, and a draught of only 1.40 m combined with CE-certification A, the Executive 1850 is a versatile motoryacht that is ideal for all European waters. Thanks to its foldable mast, it can easily travel the French inland waters and most European rivers with limited clearance.

Flexibility

As Van den Hoven builds in steel, the yard offers clients maximum flexibility in realising the yacht of their dreams –an essential asset at a time when the market is increasingly demanding. In fact, anything is possible based on the existing exterior design, from the number of cabins, general layout and furnishings, to materials, colours, engines and all other options that help to optimise stays on board based on individual preferences.

Price/quality ratio

The top-quality, well-thought-out 1850 is a strong proposition in the 18 to 20 metre segment, made extra appealing by its highly competitive starting price. The Van den Hoven 1850 Executive is available from just 1,599,950 euros ex VAT
