Porto Montenegro wins Tyha marina of distribution award 2015 to 2017

Porto Montenegro has been awarded The Yacht Harbour Association’s (TYHA) Superyacht  Marina  of  Distinction  Award  2015  to  2017.  Tony Browne,  Porto Montenegro’s Marina Director, received the award onsite at the London Boat Show at a ceremony  hosted  by  TYHA  in  partnership  with  GJW  insurance  and  the  British  Marine Foundation (BMF).

For the 3rd year running, the awards were open to all Gold Anchor accredited marinas, of which Porto Montenegro holds  ‘5 Gold Anchors’, the highest accolade  for  service  and operational standards available in the industry. Boat owners and berth holders were invited to vote for their favorite marina within each category; UK Coastal Marina, UK Inland Marina, International Marina and Superyacht Marina.

Tony Browne comments“Back in 2015 we humbly asked our customers to vote for us in the TYHA Superyacht Marina of the Year award and we were delighted with the response when we won; after finishing second in 2016 we couldn’t be more proud to receive the very first THYA Superyacht Marina of Distinction award in 2017 in recognition of our ongoing customer service excellence and market leadership.  We sincerely thank our customers for their continuing support and I would personally like to congratulate our entire Montenegrin team for their passion, commitment and dedication.”

Jon White, General Manager of The Yacht Harbour Association says “2017 saw the launch of the accolade Marina of Distinction. This honour distinguishes a marina with over three consecutive years of continual customer service excellence, as voted for by its customers in the Marina of the Year competition. To qualify, marinas must rank a category finalist over three consecutive competitions. On the third year, they receive the title of Marina of Distinction. The first ever superyacht marina to receive this honour is Porto Montenegro.”

Porto Montenegro currently offers 450 superyacht berths, superyachts up to 250m, the largest yacht size currently in circulation. Free 24hr yacht assistance, state-of-the-art facilities, a multi-lingual team and a tax and duty-free fuel station are just some of the features that make Porto Montenegro an outstanding choice for short and long-termberthing in the Mediterranean.

TYHA was established to develop the marine industry; supporting marina members of the BMF and helping boat users find quality marinas and marina businesses to improve their operations.

The Gold Anchor award scheme has been auditing marinas throughout the world for over 25 years and is well known as a credible measure of marina quality. Any rated marina will have been subject to a series of rigorous tests including a marina audit, mystery shoppers and customer questionnaires.
