ITALIAN MARINE INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION SHOWCASES THE BEST OF ITALIAN MANUFACTURING AT BOOT IN DÜSSELDORF

The Italian Marine Industry Association Confindustria Nautica, which represents the entire yachting supply chain in Italy, will be present at the 55th edition of the Boot trade show in Düsseldorf (20th – 28th January 2024), present at its own institutional stand (Hall 7 A / G09) to promote the internationalisation of Italian businesses and act as the key point of reference for the 110 Italian companies from the yachting sector that will be taking part as exhibitors, as well as for Italian and international operators visiting the German show in general.

Our companies are industry leaders across numerous foreign markets and the Italian Marine Industry Association is proud to carry out its role, supporting and promoting the entire yachting supply chain throughout global markets,” stated Saverio Cecchi, President of Confindustria Nautica, Italy’s national marine industry association. “Italian yachting is in every way an ambassador of Made in Italy excellence worldwide. We are the world’s leading producer of superyachts, the world’s leading producer of yachting units and the world’s leading producer of components and equipment. In 2022 we also reclaimed our world leading position in terms of boat exports: 88% of domestic production goes to international markets“.

Of key strategic importance when it comes to the Industry Association’s actions aimed at promoting and enhancing the sector as a whole is the Genoa International Boat Show, which in Düsseldorf will be presenting a preview of its 64th edition, scheduled to take place from 19th to 24th September.

We are currently hard at work for the next edition of the Genoa International Boat Show, an edition for which expectations are already high,” commented Marina Stella, General Manager of Confindustria Nautica.  “For many years now, the Genoa Boat Show has boasted a leading role in terms of its experience and the cross-segment plethora of innovations it showcases on the global stage, a role that places it among the highest-ranking yachting events in the world. The Levante Waterfront project, designed by renowned architect Renzo Piano, will give Genoa the first exhibition centre in the world planned and dedicated specifically to the world of yachting. An avant-garde location that looks to the future“.

The Italian Marine Industry Association’s presence at Boot is also important in terms of advancing international dialogue. In fact, the German trade show will see the Association’s representatives taking part in the inaugural Council meeting and General Assembly of the European sector federation EBI – European Boating Industry, of which the Association is an active member. The Italian Association will also take part in the ICOMIA (International Council of Marine Industry Associations, which brings together more than 40 national marine federations from all over the world) “Marine Technology Hub“, a new working group established to analyse the most recent technological innovations across the sector, and “Post Metstrade evaluation meeting“, an opportunity to take stock of the national delegations organised at the Amsterdam Boat Show held last November.

The Italian Marine Industry Association’s 2024 plan for international events and promotion, including with regards to the 64th Genoa International Boat Show, defined in partnership with the Italian Trade Agency, envisages participation in the sector’s main events around the world. Following Boot in Düsseldorf, the Association will also be present at the Miami International Boat Show (14th – 18th February), the Dubai International Boat Show (28th February – 3rd March), the Hamburg SMM (3rd – 6th September), the IBEX Show in Tampa – Florida (1st – 3rd October), the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show (30th October – 3rd November), and METSTRADE in Amsterdam (19th – 21st November).
