Heesen Yachts YN 18556 Keel Laying

During an intimate ceremony, Peter Brown from Burgess, representing the client, officially declared the keel “well and truly laid” on January 19, 2017.

The laying of the keel of a yacht is one of the most significant dates in a yacht’s life: the date in effect marks her birth.

This 56m Fast Displacement, full-custom, steel-hulled yacht is due for delivery to her owners in 2019.

Heesen Yachts Board of Directors comments: “We are truly honoured that the Owner chose our shipyard to build his full custom yacht. This will be another splendid addition to our fast-growing fleet and we are very excited that today this incredible project started taking shape!”
