PALUMBO MARSEILLE SUPER YACHTS

PALUMBO MARSEILLE SUPER YACHTS ITM

Super Yacht “Titania” arrived this week for a service stop at the Palumbo ship yard in Marseille. The 73 meter vessel, built by Luerssen in 2006 arrived at the Marseille Super Yachts ITM facility where they were greeted by Palumbo’s hospitable staff and workers. “Titania” is joined by the 55m Pendennis “Steel” and the 60m CMN “Slipstream” all three yachts arriving within days of each other.

Marseille Super Yachts ITM is becoming an increasingly popular destination for super yacht refits, service, and repairs since Palumbo Group purchased the facility in 2014. The 12000 square meter shipyard has four dry docks ranging from 80 to 126 meters in length, a 95 meter watershed and more than 300m of quays for afloat repairs. At the centre of the shipyard lies “The Black Box”, a truly unique building designed to allow visiting crew to enjoy a moment of rest and relaxation.

“Titania” and “Slipstream” are busy super yachts available for charter to a demanding clientele, whilst “Steel” is a world cruising vessel with an ice class hull. Like many other yachts, they expect any service stops to be executed quickly and efficiently. Palumbo have built a service network throughout the Mediterranean to supply exactly that kind of service and so are a natural choice for large vessels of this type. Palumbo management reports that the Malta facility is also enjoying a healthy flow of clients, many of whom go on to make use of other facilities in the Palumbo network of Malta, Marseille, Messina, and Naples. The Messina ship yard deals mostly with ships and cruise liners, whilst in Naples the ship yard is used to build the spectacular Columbus range of yachts as well as servicing a healthy mix of yachts and commercial ships.

All three yachts have demanding schedules and are no stranger to shipyards, and Palumbo are certainly no stranger to satisfying the requirements of the world’s largest and most prestigious yachts.
