Exciting races at the HH The Emir 23rd IESF

On Thursday, February 27th, the HH The Emir 23rd International Equestrian Sword Festival concluded with the two most prestigious races held at the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club in front of a large crowd.
Dubday, the first thoroughbred to carry the new Al Shaqab Racing silks of grey with gold braid, won the H.H. The Emir’s Trophy presented by Longines, a Group 1 race for thoroughbred. He was mounted by jockey Frankie Dettori.
For the second highlight race of the day, Assy became the first local-bred horse to win the Group 1 H.H. The Emir’s Sword for Purebred Arabians with jockey Christophe Lemaire.
In addition and in line with its slogan “Elegance is an attitude”, Longines rewarded the most elegant lady of the racecourse with the Longines Prize for Elegance.
