Baume & Mercier Reopens its newly renovated Dubai Mall Boutique on the occasion of its 185th Anniversary
Some outstanding moments were commemorated recently as Baume & Mercier along with long-lasting partner in the UAE, Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, officially reopened the doors to their newly renovated boutique in The Dubai Mall. Coinciding with the brand’s milestone 185th anniversary, Baume & Mercier hosted two distinct events to herald the boutique reopening and special occasion. Held on the 13th of October, the event began during the day with a ribbon cutting ceremony at the boutique that was attended by select media and was followed by an evening cocktail reception at the Dubai Mall VIP Lounge for the brand’s select VIP guests. The events were graced by the brand’s International Sales Director, Maxime Ferte along with members of the Seddiqi family. “It gives us great pleasure to celebrate with Baume & Mercier this special moment of 185 years of watchmaking and namely the re-opening of our flagship Baume & Mercier boutique in The Dubai Mall” declared Mr. Mohammad Seddiqi, Chief Operations Officer at Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons’’
As the media arrived for the official ceremony, they were escorted for a first glimpse, to the boutique that was still closed off with a ribbon. Maxime Ferte took to the stage to announce the reopening. Which was followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony subsequent to which the invitees explored the newly restored, well-designed boutique. Later that evening, Baume & Mercier welcomed its VIP guests and select bloggers to The Lounge in the Dubai Mall wherein over cocktails they discovered the special 185 years exhibition that featured notably historic timepieces from different eras like the 1880s to the early 2000s. As a saxophonist regaled the attendees, Ferte announced the reopening of the boutique and articulated about the brand’s legacy of 185 years and on this occasion he said: “On the occasion of the 185 years anniversary of Baume & Mercier and of our long lasting partnership with Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, we wanted to mark this date by celebrating the re-opening of our flagship boutique in The Dubai Mall; a moment that combines heritage in watchmaking and celebration under one theme.”
