Shortlisted boat builders for the Boat Builders Award 2015

On the second day of the METSTRADE show, the winners of the 1st Boat Builder Awards for Business Achievement will be announced during a glittering gala dinner at the National Maritime Museum in the heart of Amsterdam. Boat builders shortlisted by the judges for awards include Brunswick, Jeanneau, Baltic, Monte Carlo Yachts, Azimut, Formula, Karnic, Boston Whaler, Sea Ray, Scout, Dominator, Rayglass, Galeon, Riviera, Fairline, Sunreef and Axopar. On the equipment side, Harken, Maxwell, Falcon and Mastervolt have been shortlisted in either the collaborative solution or innovation categories.

The awards are designed to recognise and celebrate those individuals and companies excelling in the detail to push both their brands and the industry forward. An international panel of judges has managed to whittle down multiples of entries to select 23 companies as the front-runners across six award categories, singling out those boatbuilders and individuals that are really pushing the boundaries in the way they market, develop, design and build their boats.

Gala Dinner in the National Maritime Museum in Amsterdam
The evening gets underway from 19.00 on Wednesday, November 18 with luxury canal boats transporting guests directly from METSTRADE and the RAI exhibition centre, through the heart of the city to the spectacular Maritime Museum. After welcome drinks and introductory words from museum director Pauline Krikke, a three-course dinner will be served, with the winner presentations scheduled to take place after the main course.

Lifetime Achievement Award
The Lifetime Achievement Award, sponsored by Side-Power (Sleipner Motor AS), will provide a fitting crescendo to an evening that already looks like it’s becoming a must-attend fixture in the industry calendar. At the end of the evening guests are invited to carry on celebrating under the venue’s glittering glass dome or take time out with a brief tour of the museum, home to the world’s second largest maritime collection.

Alongside headline sponsor Raymarine, the night is being supported by category sponsors Saltwater Communications, Lumishore, Ultraflex, Fusion, Whale and Side-Power with the boat transport and pre-dinner drinks courtesy of Viking Recruitment.
