Partnership Announcement

Feadship was founded in 1949 as First Export Association of Dutch Shipbuilders to explore new markets outside of Europe and became a world famous brand of superior quality yachts. Its fleet now consists of more than 300 yachts. The Feadship Heritage Fleet is an association uniting owners of classic Feadships that have been built by more than 30 years ago.
There are seven renowned Feadship shipyards: Royal Van Lent in Kaag, Koninklijke De Vries in Aalsmeer, but also in specific periods by Akerboom in Lisse, Van de Stadt in Zaandam, Witsen & Vis in Alkmaar, Het Fort / De Vries Lentsch in Nieuwendam or the Haarlemsche Scheepswerf / H.W. de Voogt. Only these yachts, when aged 30 years, qualify as ‘Feadship Heritage’. Such a special fleet deserves its own club, and it was this vision of three passionate owners that led to the foundation of an association for classic Feadship owners: the Feadship Heritage Fleet (FHF).
The heritage of the yachts is celebrated through exclusively staged events in the Mediterranean, the USA and home country the Netherlands. Every spring the FHF Rendezvous takes place in the Netherlands including a tour at one of the Feadship yards. Also FHF is present at the Monaco Classic Week and the Monaco Historic Grand Prix, forming a perfect match with the FHF ‘heritage’ activities.
Sevenstar Yacht Transport is the world’s leading yacht transport company with its headquarters in Amsterdam. The Sevenstar-FHF partnership is a good fit to support and promote Dutch heritage in the world. “We are very pleased with our partnership with the Feadship Heritage Fleet”, says Richard Klabbers – CEO of Sevenstar Yacht Transport. “Yacht transport is a complimentary service to owners of precious yachts. Think of transporting a Feadship to a shipyard for a refit and to and from events staged somewhere in the world. We are looking forward to supporting the FHF members in all their yacht transport needs.”
Treasurer and co-founder of the Feadship Heritage Fleet, Arthur van Berge Henegouwen is proud of FHF and the partnership: “A few owners sat together last year with the idea to found an association, and look at its success after only one year! The owners of these mostly beautifully preserved yachts are very enthusiastic and would like to share their passion with their fellow classic Feadship owners. Now respected companies, such as Sevenstar and Pantaenius (insurance) show interest in this exclusive owners association. We welcome partnerships under the condition that there is a natural fit between the fleetand the partner company. Many of these classic yachts do not cross the Atlantic anymore, but in case their owners wish to explore different waters, yacht transport is the solution. Having a trustworthy partner with knowledge of these specific yachts and offering additional services exclusively to our members is very welcome”.
