Breedendam introduces the MTB fourzero wheelhouse

Breedendam Yachts is introducing a wheelhouse version of its convertible MTB fourzero design, which was brought to market last year. Just like the convertible, the new wheelhouse model is a retro classic tender built with the latest technologies. The comfortable wheelhouse is bright and spacious. The electric sliding roof and the sliding window between the salon and cockpit enhance the alfresco ambiance. And the combination of sturdiness, sportiness and elegance gives the MTB fourzero an individual feel that is genuinely unique in the market.

As the MTB fourzero is built entirely in aluminium, it has a very powerful structure while weighing just 12.6 tonnes. This latest Breedendam measures 13.37 metres overall and has a beam of 4.00 metres. Two Volvo IPS600 engines, each delivering 435 hp, ensure an optimal performance and a maximum speed of 34 knots for the fourzero wheelhouse model. And the IPS system with optional joystick control guarantees maximum sailing comfort, making berthing and unmooring very easy.

The model has a timeless and carefully considered profile. Key features are the rigid bow and the broad stern, which is almost as wide as the beam amidships. The hulls can be produced in a range of colours and receive a contrasting colour painted in a wood imitation look. Windows are finished in the same way and a composite teak imitation deck adds to the boat’s stylish yet maintenance-friendly exterior. Robust stainless steel railings and bumper combine with a solid high-gloss lacquered cap rail to complete the MTB fourzero’s highly elegant look.

The spacious interior is fully finished in teak, and the head clearance of no less than two metres is truly exceptional on a motorboat in this category. The galley offers the comforts of a luxury yacht, including a fridge, induction hob, combination microwave and dishwasher. Opposite the galley is a dinette with an L-shaped settee upholstered in sumptuous leather. The forward cabin contains a large detached double bed with an ergonomic mattress for sleeping comfort. An eye-catching designer touch here is the fourzero logo applied on a mirrored wall. The toilet and shower are in separate spaces.

The steering position consists of a swish chair and dashboard with extensive instrumentation and navigation systems, including GPS, radar, AIS, VHF radio, weather station, etc. The electrical installations are built using CAN bus systems so that all connected systems can be controlled via an iPad, even remotely.
